The 2024 Volkswagen ID.4 may lack a combustion engine, but you’ll still have an invigorating driving experience thanks to the rear motor’s placement just above the wheels for enhanced handling and traction. There are two battery options, starting with the standard 62-kWh battery that provides a total system output of 201 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. You can also upgrade to an 82-kWh battery with a new performance unit for an improved output of 282 horsepower and 402 lb-ft of torque.
Rear-wheel drive comes standard, but if you opt for an all-wheel drive model, you’ll receive a second electric motor for an improved output of 335 net horsepower. Rear-wheel drive versions of this new Volkswagen vehicle have a 206-mile range, while all-wheel drive increases this to 291 miles.* You can use 175-kW fast charging to regain 70% of your range in around 30 minutes.

To match its futuristic performance, the 2024 Volkswagen ID.4 provides an intuitive interior experience with high-tech amenities. 62 kWh battery models come standard with a 12-inch Discover Pro Max™ infotainment touchscreen. 82 kWh battery models receive a larger 12.9-inch version with backlit siders and a revised infotainment menu. There’s also the unique ID.Light™ system that shows pulsing light to alert you of navigation instructions, brake prompts, and more.
