Make Sure You’re Getting the Correct Oil Change

At North Penn Volkswagen, our oil change services feature the same core resources with the only differences being the type of engine, the recommended oil, and the oil filter that we install. Every oil change service includes a factory-trained and certified technician and genuine OEM oil and oil filter.

We will remove the old oil filter, drain the broken-down oil, inspect the oil system for leaks, and then install fresh engine oil and a new oil filter recommended by Volkswagen for your model to restore factory specifications. Here is an overview of the different oil change services that we provide:

Conventional

 

 

 

Referred to as Regular and Standard motor oil, conventional is the foundational oil type that begins the engine lubrication discussion. It starts as crude petroleum that undergoes refinement that improves its performance lubricating the engine’s moving parts. Semi-Synthetic

 

 

 

We consider this type as a hybrid or blend of conventional and full-synthetic with an associated expense and expected performance between the two. This type of oil requires crude petroleum for production but requires additional refinement beyond conventional that improves its performance. 

 

Full-Synthetic

 

 

 

This type of oil is totally man-made in a synthesis facility; it does not require any crude petroleum to make and resists thermal breakdown the best while offering extended change services. Diesel

 

 

 

This oil change service is designed explicitly for diesel-engine models. Diesel oil uses different additives and is slightly different than most gas engine oils.
