Volkswagen 101: VW Benefits of Buying Certified Pre-Owned
Certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles have become popular choices over the last decade at our Volkswagen dealership, and the VW benefits tied to the Volkswagen CPO program are some of the best. You’ll find a great selection of CPO models at North Penn Volkswagen, along with an experienced team ready to help you find the best fit. As a good primer, here are some of the top benefits of buying certified pre-owned.
What Makes a Volkswagen Vehicle Certified Pre-Owned?
To qualify as a VW CPO car, the vehicle must be less than seven years old, have 75,000 miles or less, and possess a clean CARFAX® report. This means it must not have experienced a major accident, show any structural damage, or have a salvaged title.
Also, the car must pass a 100+ point inspection that covers every key category, from exterior to powertrain to electronics. For an electric vehicle (EV), this includes the battery and motors. Any component that doesn’t meet our high standards is repaired or replaced with a genuine VW OEM (original equipment manufacturer) part.
What are the Benefits of Buying CPO?
The 100+ point inspection and parts replacement promise are just two of several benefits of buying a CPO automobile at our Colmar, PA Volkswagen dealership. Others include:
Comprehensive Limited Warranty: Gas vehicles and EVs both come with a two-year / 24,000-mile limited warranty that covers the automobile’s powertrain, mechanical, and electrical components. Coverage starts when the original new vehicle limited warranty expires. If that warranty has already expired at the time of purchase, coverage starts on the day you buy the car.
Roadside Assistance: VW CPO models are supported by a two-year / unlimited-miles roadside assistance program. Available 24/7/365, this program includes flat-tire changes, jump starts, and towing to the nearest authorized Volkswagen dealership.
Alternate Transportation: If your CPO car requires warranty-covered repairs, we’ll provide you with a loaner car; reach out to us for details.
Additional Perks: A Volkswagen certified vehicle also comes with a free CARFAX vehicle history report and a three-month trial subscription to the SiriusXM® Platinum Plan.
