All About the Volkswagen CPO Warranty

Volkswagen CPO Criteria

To become a Volkswagen Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle, vehicles must pass a stringent inspection. To ensure these models have like-new quality, we check everything from their engine and transmission performance to their brakes and steering. Even though they leave in optimal condition, we still protect them with warranty coverage for added peace of mind.

2020 and Newer Models

Volkswagen CPO warranties differ depending on the vehicle’s model year. Our 2020 model-year vehicles, and newer, come with a two-year/24,000-mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty. Gasoline-powered vehicles also include a two-year/24,000-mile CPO Limited Warranty, if they were purchased on and after January 5, 2021. All you’ll owe is a small deductible for any covered repairs.

2019 Vehicles

Even our older models have great coverage. If it’s a 2019 model-year vehicle, it’s covered by a one-year/12,000-mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty. If it’s a gasoline-powered vehicle, it also comes with a one-year/12,000-mile CPO Limited Warranty. Any necessary repairs are covered with a deductible and no additional charges.

EV Coverage

You’re also protected if you drive a Volkswagen electric vehicle (EV). Any 2019 model-year EVs (or newer) are covered with a three-year/36,000-mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty. They also include a three-year/36,000-mile CPO Warranty, if they were purchased on or after January 3, 2024. All repairs are covered with a deductible.
