Does Volkswagen Make a Hybrid Vehicle?

Have you been patiently waiting for a Volkswagen hybrid? You may not have to wait too much longer. North Penn Volkswagen is highlighting the plans for the new Volkswagen hybrid vehicles that are in the pipeline.
Existing Hybrid Lineup
Currently, the Volkswagen lineup doesn’t have a hybrid vehicle in the U.S. market (although it does offer plug-in hybrid and hybrid SUVs in other countries). Instead, there has been a focus on electric vehicles for those looking for efficient and eco-friendly options. The Volkswagen EVs include the Volkswagen ID.4, which is a midsize SUV, and the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, a passenger van.
New Volkswagen Hybrid Announcement
Volkswagen dealers and customers alike have been requesting hybrid models to make their way to the U.S., and their requests are being answered. In a recent press conference, a Volkswagen executive confirmed that Volkswagen hybrid models will be available in the U.S. market soon. According to Thomas Schafer, the Volkswagen CEO, the plan is to “get hybrids into our portfolio in North America as soon as possible”.
Volkswagen Hybrid Models
In the upcoming release, Volkswagen plans to offer both the Volkswagen Tiguan and the Volkswagen Atlas as hybrid models. The Volkswagen Tiguan is a sporty compact SUV, while the Volkswagen Atlas is a versatile three-row SUV. They are anticipating offering both SUVs with a hybrid powertrain, rather than a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
