What’s IQ.DRIVE®?
IQ.DRIVE is a suite of safety and driver-assistance features that makes driving safer and more convenient. These safety features can sense if you aren’t safe or alert behind the wheel and will warn you if you’re in danger. They can even sense if you’re about to be involved in a collision and intervene on your behalf.
How Does it Work?
There are a variety of components that work together with IQ.DRIVE. It uses a combinator of sensors and cameras to monitor the road and your surroundings. Some of the features provide semi-autonomous driving, so it also works in conjunction with your steering, accelerating, and braking systems.
Which Features are Included?
Depending on your particular model and trim level, you’ll encounter IQ.DRIVE features like:
- Travel Assist – can provide steering support or adjust your speed
- Adaptive Cruise Control – during highway driving, it can keep you at a set speed and a set distance from other traffic
- Active Blind Spot Monitor – alerts you to vehicles traveling in your blind spots
- Rear Traffic Alert – warns you if a vehicle is crossing as you attempt to reverse
- Front Assist – alerts you to a potential frontal collision and applies the brakes if necessary
- Emergency Assist – can safely bring your vehicle to a stop if necessary
- Lane Assist – warns you if you’re unintentionally changing lanes and can correct your steering
